LLC Application Timeline & Materials
Each year new and returning LLCs are asked to submit an application to the LLC Committee and the applications are reviewed by their peers, members of the Committee and the Office of Residence Life before a decision is made. These applications include a statement of purpose, member statements, and a schedule of proposed service/community engagement and educational programs for the coming year.
Applicants are informed by a variety of forms and informational meetings to ensure the requirements of maintaining an annual LLC are clear. Any applications submitted that do not follow the timeline (beginning with the mandatory information sessions) may be disqualified and not considered for acceptance during the proposal process.
2025 Selection Process for 25-26 Communities
Mandatory information session options
The information session is mandatory for those groups interested in applying for or renewing a Living Learning Communities & Theme Housing application. The applicaiton process will be reviewed. All changes to the applicatoin from the previous year will be discussed. This session will last approximately 30 minutes, with questions allowed after. Groups must have at least one member present to gather the information. Attendance is taken.

Application review sessions
Groups can have their tentative applications reviewed for completion and compliance. This opportunity is optional but highly encouraged. Contact the Jessi Bee to schedule a meeting.
Application due date
An electronic copy (ie PDF, Microsoft Word, Google Doc) of the applicatoin is due via email by Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 by 4:30 p.m. to Jessi Bee.
Application presentation and interview
All groups must participate in an interview and present on their group and topic of focus. Guidelines and information about the presentation are included in the application form. Interview times available are:

Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026 @ 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 @ 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.
When you submit your application to Jessi Bee, you will receive a link to sign up for your interview time slot. Only the chair and rep of the LLC are required to be present at the presentation and interview, but all members are welcome to attend.
Notification of status
The chairperson will be notified via email if the group has or has not been accepted on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Declaration of acceptance & housing preference form
A group member must deliver a signed copy (may be physically printed or scanned and emailed) of the declaration of acceptance & housing preference form to the Residence Life Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026.
Housing assignments finalized
All LLC members will be notified of their living assignment on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 by 4:30 p.m. via email. The email will include an LLC orientation and program updates newsletter.
