Student Conduct Process Guide

The goals of the Cornell College student conduct system are to provide a fair process for maintaining student accountability for behavior, promote the development of individual integrity, maintain community living and learning standards, and uphold College rules and regulations.

If you are charged with a violation of College policy you will receive written notification of the charge, and be asked to meet with a member of the Student Affairs staff to discuss the charge. During that meeting you'll review the conduct process and your rights, and will have the opportunity to decide whether you want to have an administrative or board hearing. Following your hearing you'll be notified in writing of the decision and sanctions related to your conduct charge.  At any point during the process you may choose to speak with a conduct process consultant.
