Mail and Deliveries for Students
Student mail delivery
Student Mailing Address:
Name
810 Commons Circle SW #_____
Mount Vernon, IA 52314-1000
All students have a mailbox assigned to them. If you need help with the combination then please come to the counter for assistance.
Letters are added to your box without notification so be sure to check your mailbox regularly. Students are responsible for transporting their mail/packages to their residence hall room.

Items which could be in violation of campus policies should not be shipped to or from the campus mail center. Examples include weapons, fireworks, or alcohol by students under 21 years of age. If mail center staff believe that the contents of a package could violate campus policy, the Dean of Students will be notified. The Dean will contact the student and determine if a policy violation may have occurred.
Student Package Delivery
The Mail & Service Center receives mail and packages from USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Amazon beginning at 10 a.m. Students ordering from any other source (for example, Instacart) must arrange to meet the driver for pickup. After delivery, the Mail Center staff processes as quickly as possible and sends an email notification that it is ready for pickup; please wait to pick up your package until you have received your email. To receive a package, come to the front counter with your student ID ready. The staff will scan your ID upon delivery.<
If it is not possible to pick up a package during our business hours then a proxy can pick it up for you. Notify the Mail Center by emailing us. Give the name of the proxy, your box number, and how long that person has permission to pick up your packages.
Unclaimed packages
Unclaimed packages will be removed after three months.
Local Deliveries
Orders from Instacart, Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, or grocery delivery from stores like Walmart or Target should be placed with delivery to your residence hall. You will need to meet the driver at the entrance to get your items in person.
If the delivery driver goes to Thomas Commons they will be directed to leave the item on the shelf outside of the Mail and Service Center. This shelf is unsupervised and the college is not responsible for missing items. The driver is responsible for contacting you about your delivery. Mail and Service Center staff do not track these deliveries.
