Tori Barnes-Brus
Professor of Sociology
McLennan College Hall 211Teaches courses on inequality, deviance and social control, reproduction, media, and research methods. Her courses demonstrate a dedication to social justice, and many involve field trips or incorporate public sociology projects. She has sponsored numerous student research projects at the Iowa Sociological Association and the Midwest Sociological Society meetings. Her own research investigates the cultural construction and commercialization of womanhood and cultural debates surrounding women’s reproductive control. Ph.D., sociology, University of Kansas.
Ann Cannon
Professor of Mathematics & Statistics
West Science Hall 317Teaches statistics courses, and her main professional interest is in statistics education. She is co-author of Stat 2: Building Models for a World of Data, 2e (2018), a textbook for the second introductory course in statistics. Ph.D., statistics, Iowa State University.

Associate Professor of Kinesiology
Teaches a range of courses in kinesiology including Psychology of Sport, Exercise Psychology, Sports in American Society, Foundations of Kinesiology, and Lifetime Fitness and Activity. Ph.D., psychology of sport and physical activity, University of Iowa.
