Our oldest student, affectionally known as "Skully", remains on hand to welcome students to Cornell.

Health & Counseling

Cornell College cares about your physical and emotional well-being. That’s why we offer a wide range of comprehensive services to help you manage your health.

Cornell’s Student Health Center is staffed by two registered nurses with support from doctors at Mount Vernon's Iowa Health Physicians practice. We offer a comprehensive array of services on campus, including injury care assessment, allergy shots, family planning, and routine women’s health services. c-Nurse (cyber-nurse) provides online answers to basic health questions.

The Counseling Center is staffed by a licensed psychologist and a licensed social worker. We offer short-term, confidential individual and couples counseling for Cornell students as well as a variety of support groups and educational programs.

Full-time Cornell students who are United States citizens are covered by the college’s Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan. This plan is designed as a supplement to your primary insurance plan.
