Campus Life

At Cornell, involvement is expected; leadership encouraged; fun, challenge, and learning all part of the process. Our student affairs staff works hard to assist students in turning residence halls into homes, floors into supportive neighborhoods, and the entire campus into a tight-knit community.

Most Cornell students participate in several of our 100+ student organizations, ranging from belly dancing to student senate, from mountaineering to Latino awareness. You may also volunteer your time and energy to issues beyond campus, as many students do. And you might play on one of our 19 Division III varsity teams, or in one of our many intramural or club sports.

Whatever your background or interests, you’ll be welcomed to campus by fellow students who’ll help move your belongings into your new home, and you’ll find plenty of support in making the transition to college life at Cornell. By the time you graduate, you’ll be a well-rounded, engaged citizen ready for life in an ever-changing, multi-cultural world.

We think that’s what the liberal arts is all about.
