Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)

The RAD Basic Self-Defense Class for Women is generally offered once each semester.  If you have a group of women who'd like to take the class at another time, it may be possible to arrange an additional class.  The program consists of 12 hours of instructional training and simulation and participants must complete at least the first 9 hours of instruction in order to complete the class; the simulation exercise at the end is optional but encouraged.

There must be at least 8 participants for class to run, and class size is limited to 12. 
$25 participation fee is required; financial assistance may be available.

Get creative in the Stree-Free Zone! Tuesday, November 6th from 11:15 am to 12:45 pm.  Color, get information about healthy stress management, relax, and/or volunteer for a good cause (volunteering is good for mental wellness!):  help make inspirational items for local cancer patients with Gems of Hope. Mental Health Screening Day, Thursday, November 8th from 11:15 am to 12:45 pm on the OC.  Take a screening and get feedback from a counselor or take a self-scored measure.  Check your attitude, gratitude, mood, food, drinking, and/or thinking!  Co-sponsored by Active Minds and Health Promotions.
