Important RA Dates
**All dates are subject to change.**
2013-2014 (for RA candidates to consider as they explore employment with Residence Life)
- Spring 2013 Trainings: All Spring 2013 Trainings are required and will last approximately an hour and a half.
- All Staff Training Session 2: Thursday, April 18, 6 p.m., Pfeiffer Lounge
- Area Team Sessions coordinated by your specific Assistant Director of Residence Life
- Fall Training: You must arrive on campus and be ready to begin training on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. for returners and 12 p.m. for new RAs. You are able to move in on Sunday afternoon if this is better for your schedule; please be in contact with your ADRL.
- Winter Break: You must plan to stay on campus until 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2013.
- Winter Training: You must arrive prior to 6 p.m.on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Training will begin at 6 p.m. this day. Depending on the number of incoming new and transfer students for Block 5, some RAs may be asked to arrive on Thursday,January 9, 2014.
- End of Year: You must plan to stay until 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2014 after Commencement.
Note: Block Breaks, Thanksgiving Break and spring break are staffed and there will be duty during these times.
2012-2013 (for current RAs)
As you make your travel plans, please keep in mind the following time commitments:
- Fall Training: You must arrive on campus and be ready to begin training on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. You are able to move in on Sunday afternoon if this is better for your schedule; please be in contact with your ADRL.
- Winter Break: You must plan to stay on campus until 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012.
- Winter Training: You must arrive prior to 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Training will begin at 6 p.m. this day.
- End of Year: You must plan to stay until 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2013 after Commencement.
Note: There is the potential that we will need one staff member per building to be on campus through Thanksgiving and Spring Breaks. Block Breaks are staffed and there will be duty during these times.
