The transition to college can be an exciting and challenging time for everyone, and we are here to assist you and your student through this process. The information throughout the New Student Orientation (NSO) web site is specifically designed for your student, however we encourage you to look at this information and be familiar with it as you will serve as a valuable resource to your son or daughter throughout their four years at Cornell.
There are several tasks your student will need to complete prior to their arrival on campus, itemized on a personalized online checklist that is accessible from the Admitted Students portal. We ask that you become familiar with this checklist and assist them in completing everything.
Move-in Day and Parent Orientation
We have compiled most of the information you will need to assist your student's transition to Cornell on our Move-in Day page. Included there is a family schedule for Move-in Day that outlines a number of parent information sessions. This Parent Orientation is designed to help you get all of your questions answered, and to learn how you can best support your student in their college journey.
