- Learn to identify signs that someone may be in distress, feeling depressed, or thinking about suicide
- Get tips for how to talk to someone in distress, and things not to do
- Identify resources for help on campus and locally

The RAD (Rape Aggresssion Defense) Basic Self-Defense Class for Women is generally offered once each semester. If you have a group of women who'd like to take the class at another time, it may be possible to arrange an additional class. Some important information: the program consists of 12 hours of instructional training and simulation and participants must complete at least the first 9 hours of instruction in order to complete the class, participation fee is $25, the minimum class size is 6 participants and the maximum is 12.
