RAD (Rape Aggression Defense)
Basic Self-Defense Class for Women
is offered during Block 4 for all
female students, faculty, staff, & community members.
The program consists of 12 hours of instructional training and simulation;
participants must complete at least the first 9 hours of instruction
in order to complete the class,
the simulation exercise at the end is optional but encouraged.
Participation fee is $25*
* Fee assistance for Cornell students interested in completing the RAD program
is available from the Counseling Center.
This assistance is first-come, first-served.
So, register early and pay only $15!
*Non-students, register with a friend and you each save $5 off the participation fee!
Register at the Info Desk by 1pm December 3.
*There must be at least 6 participants for class to run,
and class size is limited to 12.*

The RAD (Rape Aggresssion Defense) Basic Self-Defense Class for Women is generally offered once each semester. If you have a group of women who'd like to take the class at another time, it may be possible to arrange an additional class. Some important information: the program consists of 12 hours of instructional training and simulation and participants must complete at least the first 9 hours of instruction in order to complete the class, participation fee is $25, the minimum class size is 6 participants and the maximum is 12.
