Open Field, Cornell's annual literary magazine, premiered in 1968 and was edited by nationally recognized poet and former Cornell professor, Robert Dana. Sponsored by the Department of English and Creative Writing and now edited by professor Katy Stavreva and the R.P. Dana Emerging Writer Fellow, the journal features creative writing (poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction) and artwork by Cornell students. Each spring the journal debuts at the department's annual awards night.
