The best way to know what Cornell College can offer you is through an individual interview. An individual interview is simply an individualized information session and each year we interview approximately 90% of all applicants. When you schedule an individual visit our staff will take the time to meet individually with you, the student, and then with your entire family. For an admission counselor, it helps to provide the personal and holistic review that we believe every applicant deserves.
It's important to us that each prospective student gains a great understanding of the extraordinary opportunities and outcomes awaiting them at Cornell. We also want to get to know more about each student; their interests, passions, experiences and academic preparation. Included in each individual interview is the opportunity to ask questions about the admission and financial aid process.
If you are scheduling an individual visit to campus, we recommend including an on-campus interview.
High 5 interview
Current high school seniors and students who have completed their full junior year of high school, or equivalent, are eligible to request a High 5 interview. At the end of the interview (one hour or less) your counselor will tell you if you qualify for admission and what kind of merit scholarship you’re eligible to receive. (Be sure to send us a copy of your latest transcript at least 3 days before your visit....unofficial transcripts are just fine.)
Off-campus and phone interviews
Can’t make it to campus? Our counselors may be in your area to conduct interviews in a local public venue. Alternatively, each counselor is available for a Skype or phone interview. We look forward to connecting with you—on campus or off!
