I understand that my confidentiality will be protected by all means possible, but that by submitting my question, I (a) give permission to the Student Health Center to discuss my problem on email, and (b) indicate my understanding that confidentiality cannot be 100% guaranteed in an electronic environment.

When you are finished, press or to start over.

You may ask your health-related questions 24 hours a day. One of our nurses will periodically review your questions throughout the day, 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, and respond to you on your email. If your situation is an emergency (breathing difficulty, uncontrolled bleeding), call 9-911. If it is urgent, call the Student Health Center during our hours of operation. In most cases your question will be answered within 24 hours of the working day it is received.

There are some other questions you might have:

Is my question considered confidential?

We are making every attempt to ensure your confidentiality, including incrypting both your question and our answer and restricting access to the c-Nurse mailbox to authorized clinic nurses only. However, please be aware that in the current technological environment, confidentiality cannot be 100% guaranteed. You can help this effort by ensuring that your own email box is restricted to your use alone.

What can I ask c-Nurse?

You can ask anything you like. The answer will depend on what is possible without your being present. Some complete answers may require an examination of some kind (physical, not written), or the answers to other questions you will be asked. The answers to some questions may require a review of your medical record or past medical history.

Whatever the answer, be assured that our desire is to give you the best possible advice by clinical professionals, to guide you in making healthy decisions.
