French Block in Quebec

Not all things French happen in France, and the block plan makes it easy for Cornell students to spend three weeks exploring Francophone culture in Quebec. The trip occurs every other year, and includes both intermediate and advanced students. Highlights include homestays, museum visits, cultural events, side trips to places like historic Quebec City, and daily interactions with locals. Sarah McNutt sums up her 2007 experience as follows: "During the Montreal trip, I had the opportunity to develop my French skills as well as explore an incredible city. Generally we had class in the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon which made it easy to take advantage of numerous events. |
