Sehar Shah '11

Sehar Shah '11 spent the summer of 2010 as an intern at VanMeter Industrial in Cedar Rapids,Iowa. Her internship revolved around one large, impactful project. She built a worksheet that helped analyze the effectiveness of a new pricing strategy that the company has implemented throughout the branches. She also looked over the presentations that were given to the salespeople working at the different branches to inform them of the new pricing system.

Sehar says, "Along with learning how to think critically and look at all sides of a situation, this internship was a very different from the learning experience in a classroom. Interacting with professionals everyday made me more confident and taught me the minor rules of professional conduct that you can only learn from experience."
