Sal DiFonzo '89was back on campus and in the classroom of Professor Santhi Hejeebu's ECB: 356 Economics of Organization class during December of 2009.  He made a presentation on executive compensation analyzing the pay of the top 500 CEOs in the country right now. He wondered what this group of leaders would look like if you analyzed them like a sales force. Is there a link between pay and performance? If there is no link, what is the cause? Are CEOs paid too much? What will the graphs show?

DiFonzo earned a B.A. in Economics/Business and Psychology at Cornell College and an M.S. in Human Resource Management from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. He holds the following professional certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP, Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and is an Executive Education Graduate, Sales Force Incentive Planning, from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He has held compensation positions of increasing responsibility at Fortune 500 companies IBM, Eli Lilly, U S WEST (Qwest Communications), progressing to Director of Compensation and Benefits at Honeywell International. In addition, Sal DiFonzo was a Senior Consultant at The Alexander Group, Inc.
