Dr. Tanya Golash-Boza
Dr. Tanya Golash-Boza is an assistant professor in both the Sociology and American Studies at the University of Kansas. She shared her research on the racial identities of Latinos and Latinas in the US, in particular the effects of U.S. Immigration Policies on society. She visited professor Mary Olson's SOC: 101 Sociological Perspectives: Structure, Diversity, and Interaction course before delivering two public lectures. The lectures were entitled, "Human Cost of Immigration Policies" and "Age of Exile: Racism and Mass Deportation in the 21st Century."
