Michael Gray

Professor C. Michael Gray was a guest of the Education Department and the Berry Center the week of December 8 - 12, 2009. On Tuesday, December 9, he gave a moving talk entitled "A Discussion of Comparative Injustice: Comparing the Policies of the Jim Crow Era in the United States and the Apartheid Era in South Africa" in Hedges Conference Room.

Gray is an Assistant Professor of African American Studies at Ohio University. He is a member of the Business Law faculty of the College of Business of Ohio University. In addition, he serves as Director of Diversity for the past nine years for the College of Business.

Gray is an United States army veteran; he served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. In 1972, he graduated from West Virginia State College with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and in 1975, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, College of Law, with a J.D. degree. He serves as Director of American-African Professional Education Connection (APEC) which is a global network for American and African colleges and universities.
