Rob Scarlett

Rob Scarlett has been involved in international economic development for the last forty years.  He has centered his career on assisting businesses as they expand or enter the global market.  He is currently the Vice President of Medical Equipment Exporters in Minneapolis, MN.  In the thirteen years he served as chairman of the board for Durex Products, Inc. of Luck, WI, he introduced Durex's mining products into the Latin American market and guided the company into a position of prominence in Germany, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.   

Mr. Scarlett has an active career as a volunteer, as well.  He has dedicated thirty years of service to ACCION International, where he serves as a member of the President's Council.  In his home community, he volunteers as Chairman of the Minnesota International Center and Chairman of Compatible Technology International.

Scarlett was on campus April 9, 2008 when he attended and assisted with Eric Carlson's Economics and Business Course in Entrepreneurship.  He shared his expertise in international activities, with both private sector companies and with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) involved in international economic development.
