About me: I graduated from Cornell College in the class of 2010. I double majored in History and Religious Studies, and took advantage of Cornell’s study abroad program to go to Laos, Cambodia, and Morocco. While at Cornell I participated in New Student Orientation as a Peer Advocate, the Performing Arts and Activities Council, Spiritual Life Leadership Committee, Sigma Kappa Psi, Student Senate, Greek Council, and the Faculty Student Life Committee. I am originally from Golden, Colorado and since graduating from Cornell I have lived in five different states. I am excited to be back on the Hilltop to help students through the application process and bring great scholars to the Cornell community.
One place I recommend students visit on campus: As a History major, I spent many days in the halls of College hall, and taking The Making of Modern America in the restored classroom on the 3rd floor really helps immerse you in the time period. Don't worry, the classroom has all the modern amenities you’d expect, but is restored to the way it looked in the early 20th century. I love the unique history of the building. The fact that is was built by Cornell students and faculty in 1856. When College Hall opened in 1857 it housed the majority of campus offices, laboratories and even the gym!
