Transfer Scholarship Opportunities

Cornell offers an attractive merit scholarship program to transfer students. Academic scholarships range in value from $10,000 to full tuition. Fine arts scholarships and awards range in value from $1,000 to full tuition.

Eligibility and applications

Your application for admission to Cornell also serves as your academic scholarship application—please refer to our transfer student admission dates for information on priority consideration for scholarships and other deadlines. To qualify for a fine arts scholarship, you will also need to complete an audition or submit a portfolio by March 1.

Decisions

Transfer scholarship decisions will be based on your overall attractiveness as a candidate for admission and on the date you submitted your application. In some cases you may be offered a scholarship at a higher or lower level than your eligibility would indicate. You may be awarded up to two Cornell scholarships, though the second one will be limited in value to $4,00 or less.
