In the fall of 2011, the college began a two-year year interval of focused strategic planning involving the entire Cornell community. The strategic plan that emerged from that effort provides an explicit framework for guiding college decisions over the next several years.
Representation on the planning committee and its working groups was broad, and input from students, staff, faculty, alumni, and Trustees was obtained through surveys, focus groups, and discussion. The strategic plan was endorsed by the faculty and Board of Trustees in May 2013. An updated strategic plan and 5-year financial model were reviewed by the Strategic Planning Committee and the Board of Trustees in the fall of 2014.
