Qualify for a $4,000 scholarship to attend Cornell College upon completion

Your acceptance into the One Course Summer Institute makes you eligible for a $4,000 scholarship at Cornell College (if you apply, are accepted, and enroll full-time at Cornell College). You'll get $1,000 each year (up to four years). That's more than your One Course Summer Institute registration fee.

*Prior participants can enroll in subsequent summers, but are eligible for only one $4,000 Summer Institute scholarship.

Credit hours

You'll earn 3 credit hours for successfully completing your One Course. You can apply those credits (along with that $4,000 scholarship) at Cornell College. Credits can be applied towards a Cornell College degree or forwarded by official transcript to another college.

Registration is a two-step process. Registration will open in early March.

  1. Qualification: Cornell faculty will assess your readiness to complete college level work by reviewing your unofficial transcripts, and a 250 word statement summarizing your motivation for completing your top course choice.
  2. Registration: Once accepted to the program,  you will be provided with login information to create your One Course Summer Institute application, complete your final course selection, and submit your $500, nonrefundable deposit for the institute.  The remaining balance must be paid by May 14, 2021.

Classes are small intentionally so you get one-on-one interactions with our faculty and to encourage quality conversations among students.
