Follow the instructions on this page to connect a Mac computer to shared drive resources. These instructions apply to both College-owned and personal Mac computers.

These are the instructions for connecting your Home Drive:

  1. Click the Go menu from Finder
  2. Click Connect To Server...
  3. In the Server Address text box type:  smb://cornellcollege.edu/shares/student_home/username (for employees, the Server Address will be smb://cornellcollege.edu/shares/home/username)
  4. *Substitute your Cornell username for username
  5. You may click the + button to have this folder stored for later use
  6. Click Connect
  7. When prompted, enter your Cornell Username and Password
  8. You may add the information to your keychain if you would like to store the password for future use
  9. Click OK

To connect to the Assignments Drive (K:)

  1. Click the Go menu from Finder
  2. Click Connect To Server...
  3. In the Server Address text box type:  smb://cornellcollege.edu/shares/assignments
  4. You may click the + button to have this folder stored for later use
  5. Click Connect
  6. When prompted, enter your Cornell Username and Password
  7. You may add the information to your keychain if you would like to store the password for future use
  8. Click OK

To Connect to the to the Apps drive (G:)

  1. Click the Go menu from Finder
  2. Click Connect to Server
  3. In the server address box, type smb://cornellcollege.edu/shares/apps
  4. You may click the + button to have this folder stored for later use
  5. Click Connect
  6. When prompted, enter your Cornell Username and Password
  7. You may add the information to your keychain if you would like to store the password for future use
  8. Click OK

To Connect to the Campus Share drive (S:)

  1. Click the Go menu from Finder
  2. Click Connect to Server
  3. In the server address box, type smb://cornellcollege.edu/shares/campus_share
  4. You may click the + button to have this folder stored for later use
  5. Click Connect
  6. When prompted, enter your Cornell User Name and Password
  7. You may add the information to your keychain if you would like to store the password for future use
  8. Click OK
