Cornell Success Lab was created to promote a positive self-image and foster personal and academic growth for both middle schoolers and college students. Every Tuesday and Thursday, Cornell students visit the Mount Vernon Middle School to provide mentorship and homework help to the local students. Success Lab sessions typically last around 2 hours.
Once every semester, the Cornell students plan a fun activity for the middle school students meant to engage the students outside of a typical school setting and deepen their bonds. Past events include: dodgeball, game night, and many more. Students interested in fulfilling a mentorship role and having fun in an educational setting should consider joining the program.
