Teacher's Guide: Teaching English grammar

Helping students review English grammar is often a good idea before introducing Greek grammar. The two page handout, Selections from Plato's Republic, should be used in conjunction with some simpler exercises from a website that focuses on English grammar, such as dmoz English Grammar or Guide to Grammar and Writing. Selections from Plato, moreover, should be used throughout Beginning Greek as a practice exercise after the appropriate English grammar has been reviewed in class.

Selections from Plato's Republic reviews the parts of speech in the context of passages from Republic, Book 1.
