Auburn
University
is sponsering a conference July 20-22. The third annual Southern
Girls Conference (don't let the name fool you) will discuss many social
justice/awareness issues through workshop, theater, music, film, poetry,
and folk/art in the context of gender and sexuality. The conference
will cover how these ideas/aspects of identity affect living in and
being from the southern region of the U.S. This is not JUST a conference
for southerners or JUST a conference for women. Gender issues, and
many overlapping experiences exist cross-regionally. This will be
an excellent occassion to meet, greet, and exchange ideas. Solidarity
through dialogue!
