This is one of a flock of Victorian homes along First Street. The
original small brick house on the site was owned briefly by George
Bowman, the man who founded Cornell. The home was renovated to its
current Queen Ann style sometime in the late 1880s. The house and
property passed to George Albright in 1951, then Cornell acquired
it around 1963. It houses apartments for Cornell employees.
