Campaign for Cornell College

Fall 2011

  • With an enrollment of 1,197 students, Cornell College set a record for the second year in a row.  This year's class of new students has 385 members, and is among the most geographically and ethnically diverse in the history of Cornell, with students from 42 states and 10 countries and 25 percent domestic students of color.  Twenty percent of the students are from Iowa and 17 percent from Illinois.  The rest of the top 10 are from California, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida, Missouri and Texas.

  • Interested in joining a fraternity or sorority? Students who have successfully completed four blocks at Cornell and have at least a 2.0 GPA are eligible to join a fraternity or sorority. You are encouraged to attend the various pre-pledge events and to meet the members and learn more about the different fraternities and sororities at Cornell. Pledging begins in January - check out the Greek Life website or contact or Greek Council President Andrew Roers for more information about our Greek organizations and the pledging process.

  • Thinking about being a PA or RA next year? The selection process begins in late February - watch for more information.
  • Room selection
    • The room selection lottery process begins in April. More information about how the process works will be published in January.
    • Living-Learning Communities information sessions will take place the first week of Block 6.
  • Student Senate is very active and is there to serve you. If you have an idea for a new student organization you would like to start please visit the organizations website for assistance with this process . Or you can submit an appropriations request if you are looking for additional funding for an event you'd like to have with an existing organization.
  • Craving a late-night pizza? We now have pizza delivery on campus, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. for $8.50. Call 895-4401.
