The first-year class is off to a great start,
with an average GPA (after block 3) of 2.9.
That means the first-year class has an average so far between B- and B ...
way to go! We look forward to welcoming the vast majority (around 95%) of our
first-year students back to campus for the spring semester.

including a Hypnotist show - one of the most anticipated events of the year!

6, 7:00pm in Pfeiffer.
- Interested in joining a fraternity or sorority? Students
who have successfully completed four blocks at Cornell and have at least a 2.0
GPA are eligible to join a fraternity or sorority. You are encouraged to attend
the various pre-pledge events and to meet the members and learn more about the
different fraternities and sororities at Cornell. Pledging begins
in January - check out the Greek Life website
or contact or Greek Council President Ben Melanson for
more information about our Greek organizations and the pledging process.

Relay
for Life will take place on May 14 and
15. Last year Cornell was second in the nation for per capita fund
raising among "youth" events! Look for registration to start during seventh
block. Contact Dyuti
Majumdar or Bailee Beauman, co-coordinators of Colleges Against Cancer, with
questions.

Room selection
- The
room selection lottery process begins in April. More information about how the
process works will be coming in January.
- Living-Learning
Communities information sessions will take place the first week of
Block 6.

Student Senate is very active and is there to
serve you. If you have an idea for a new student organization you would
like to start please visit the organizations
website for assistance with this process . Or you can submit an appropriations
request if you are looking for additional funding for an event you'd like
to have with an existing organization.
