Quick Steps for Planning an Event
- Choose a date and location. Check availability on Meeting Room Manager
- Check the Master Calendar for other events taking place to avoid overlap
- Decide what funding is necessary, and where the funding will come from
- Decide if the event will be co- sponsored (if so meet with the other group/office and fill out a co – sponsorship form)
- Create an advertising plan
- Make a tech request if necessary
- Are you paying for an individual to come to campus? Are you showing a film? If so, set up a meeting with the Director of Student Activities
- Create a set-up plan
- Delegate and involve your entire group in the event
- HAVE FUN!
