Spanish 385Instructor: Marcela Ochoa-Shivapour Purpose: Spanish 385 has the purpose of providing information in Hispanic American Culture and Civilization. At the end of this course the students are expected to develop awareness about Latin America and get acquainted with its main socio-political-cultural issues. This purpose will be achieved through lectures, readings of original texts and textbooks, student oral reports and films. It is crucial that students prepare their assigned readings before coming to class. Studying in group is recommended. Hours.
