| West Liberty is one
of the small Iowa communities that has started a dual language education
program in its elementary school. This program has a $1.7 million
endowment over a five year period from state funds and is partially
community funded. The money is used to train teachers and put programs
into place for students. This program is used in conjunction with
an English as a Second Language (ESL) program to help integrate the
new Latino population into the community. |
La Ciudad de West Liberty es
una de las comunidades pequeñas que ha empezado un programa
de "dual language" en su escuela primaria. Este programa
está fundido por cinco años en total de 1.7 millón
de dólares y tambié está fundido por la comunidad.
