Job Description: Active researcher, scholar and teacher at a major Research I university. I have worked at Temple University for the past seven years. I will be joining the faculty at Ohio State University this year.

Most satisfying and rewarding aspects of your position: 1) Figuring out a puzzling question. 2) Getting my first grant funded as a Prinicipal Investigator. 3) Seeing a new article or book in print for the first time. 4) Seeing students \"turned on\" to research as I was in Prof. Peterson\'s methods course at Cornell.

What jobs or other positions have you held that prepared you for this position? Research positions during graduate school. Writing grant proposals with my mentors, running grant projects, working on publications while a student. Waitressing for 7 years. I learned a lot about people, myself, and social class.

What are your occupational and/or educational goals? To become a full professor and run my own research center.

Additional comments: The academy offers my wonderful experiences. The road is not allows easy but it has its rewards.
