Cornell College Senior Challenge Campaign

Welcome Seniors!

The Senior Challenge is a student-led campaign to emphasize the importance of giving back to Cornell College. It is an opportunity for the graduating class to take ownership of their new alumni status by making a modest financial contribution to support key college priorities, such as scholarship support, attracting and retaining outstanding faculty, and supporting outstanding student-athletes.

First Challenge: Participation

The goal of the Senior Challenge is not the amount of money raised, but rather, it is to raise awareness as to the importance of giving by educating students in hopes of greater participation. Every year, the Senior Challenge committee asks every senior to participate with a graduation gift in honor of the year they graduate. For example the Class of 2010 is asked to give $20.10 before they graduate!

Second Challenge: Five-year pledge

The campaign is created as a way for Cornell's senior class to begin a lifetime of philanthropic commitment. Each class works hard to gain class-wide participation each year to contribute to the Annual Fund over a five year period. The hope is to broaden the understanding of the importance of alumni participation and instill a commiment to betterment of Cornell for years to come.

Get involved!

We are currently accepting applications for the Senior Challenge Coordinator position.

We are also searching for dedicated, volunteer, team leaders of the senior class who understand the importance and need for support to Cornell. A diverse group of 10-15 senior leaders is preferred. Committee members would need to make a monthly commitment, and assist in fundraising events. This is great experience to build your resume!

To apply or if you have additional questions, simply send your letter of interest to Trish Kohl, Director of the Annual Fund at tkohl@cornellcollege.edu or call Ext. 4445.
