Duty is an integral part of the RA position.  This is a time to ensure the building is secure.  You'll be able to meet and greet the residents in your building, invite them down to the RA office to hang out, and to be a visible member of the building community.  Residents will use this time to ask the RA on duty for help accessing building resources.  And staff will also work during this time to recognize and prevent potential issues and concerns.

 * Because each residence hall is unique and the needs for each area will vary from building to building a more complete list of duty responsibilities and expectations will be provided by your ADRL.
