Upcoming Floor Activities for 2011 - 2012

Welcome to the Community Service Connect Floor!  Throughout the school year, we will expect members of this floor to participate in a variety of community service projects on Cornell's campus, in the Mt. Vernon community and the surrounding area.  We will have a few large floor community service projects and many opportunities for smaller groups to go out and work together.  We encourage you to find service in the area that interests you but also to expand your interests and try new things!  

Besides doing service in the community we will also provide you with a journal and ask that you keep some reflections and thoughts about the service you perform throughout the year.  We will have scheduled times for the floor to come together and share their experiences.  We will also be working with the Career Engagement Center to create a working resume highlighting the service you do and experiences you gain. 

In the spring, it is also our hope to have a Community Service Floor exhibition on the Orange Carpet to show the rest of the Cornell Community what you have accomplished!  Most of all, we are focused on having a lot of fun while performing service to the community!
