Team RamBRAI

RamBRAI is a RAGBRAI® team made up of Cornell College alumni, faculty, staff and friends. Founded in 1987, RamBRAI is the only college team to receive club status from RAGBRAI®, which means each of our 26 riders are guaranteed RAGBRAI® credentials as long as they register for RAGBRAI® by the May 15 deadline. In fact, RamBRAI is featured in the Iowa State Historical Museum in Des Moines.

RamBRAI is for responsible and courteous adults, only. You must be 18 years old to apply. RamBRAI is a smoke-free event.

RamBRAI is a fully-supported team. RamBRAI fees cover:

Bike, baggage and cyclist transportation to/from the RAGBRAI® starting and ending towns, originating and ending in Mount Vernon, IA
Parking in Mount Vernon, IA for the week of RAGBRAI®
Baggage transport and SAG support for the duration of RAGBRAI®
Snacks and nonalcoholic beverages
RamBRAI makes every effort to identify hosts in each overnight town who will allow us to camp in their yard and use their bathroom/shower (or who will provide a porta-potty and space to set up our portable shower). RamBRAI members are flexible, experienced, respectful, and appreciative of hosts’ hospitality. We particularly enjoy staying with Cornellians! If RamBRAI is unable to secure a host household in an overnight town, we will submit a request for accommodations to RAGBRAI®’s housing committee. If you are interested in hosting or know someone who might be able to host, please contact us.
Our SAG drivers are the best in the business! Among other things they make sure our baggage is transported to the next overnight town, stock the coolers with snacks and beverages, and if our overnight housing is not within walking distance to the evening events are happy to provide shuttle services. RamBRAI needs volunteer support vehicle (SAG) drivers to and from the start and end of RAGBRAI® as well as throughout the week. Let us know if you would be interested in driving a SAG wagon. SAG drivers must be 21 or older and must hold a valid Drivers License.
