Psi Chi: The National Honor Society in Psychology
Since 1993, Cornell has maintained an active chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology. Psi Chi was founded in 1929 "for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology."' Active Minds at Cornell College is part of a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to raising mental health awareness among college students on the peer level. Active Minds works with student leaders on college campuses across the United States to promote awareness about mental health, help identify symptoms of mental illness, and direct students to available resources on campus and in the community.
DOORS (Disability Opportunity Outreach Resources Support) provides a basis of support for students with disabilities on campus and fosters a positive environment through education, awareness, advocacy, and outreach to promote the social and cultural capital of all.
