Countless studies have shown that homosexuals are just as well-adjusted psychologically as are heterosexuals.

One study compared lesbians with their heterosexual sisters (Rothblum & Factor, 2001). Compared to their heterosexual sisters, lesbians were more educated, urban, and geographically mobile. Lesbians had higher self-esteem and identified less with organized religion.
