365. Constitutional Law: the American System -- April 2006
Course Calendar & Assignments

There are reading assignments in your textbook and on line. Page assignments refer to Lee Epstein & Thomas G. Walker. Constitutional Law for a Changing America: Institutional Powers & Constraints, 5th ed. Washington: CQ Press, 2004.
On-line assignments are linked to the textbook's companion web archive. If you bought the textbook new, you will find a registration card inserted into the text that entitles you to free access to the archive for 18 weeks. If you bought a used book, you, can purchase a registration on the web site for $17.95. We are all accustomed to getting stuff free on the web, but it is not unreasonable for people (and even giant corporations) who have invested in preparing materials for your use to be compensated for their efforts. Supreme Court cases are all in the public domain, so the preparation in this case is the editorial work of synopsizing the facts and editing the opinions. You can always choose to read the originals.
