One Book Discussions

A Cornell education will allow you to explore the rich diversity of the human experience, develop an understanding of ways of life fundamentally different from your own, and acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities that will make you become a productive citizen within society.

A dynamic academic initiative during our New Student Orientation program called the "One Book Discussions" was developed to provide each of you insight into the academic culture here at Cornell.  You will have the opportunity to choose a discussion session from one of more than 20 discussions led by Cornell faculty and staff. These discussion leaders will share with you their knowledge and commitment to learning.

Please review the following information regarding each of the discussions to be held on Thursday, August 28th, 2008. Each of the links below will describe the discussions. Once you have decided on your top three choices, click on the registration link below or the link provided on each of the discussion pages. You must register by Friday August 22.

If you have any questions please contact Dianne Timm, Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Student Life at 319-895-4334.
