Events celebrate King’s legacyJan. 12, 2007 MOUNT VERNON - In October 1962, Martin Luther King Jr. spoke in Cornell's King Chapel. Cornell will celebrate his life and legacy with the following events on Monday, Jan. 15, sponsored by the Black Awareness Cultural Organization, the Office of Intercultural Life, the department of sociology and anthropology and the Project for Civic Engagement. 11:30 a.m., Orange Carpet, The Commons “I Have A Dream,” a reading of the speech delivered Aug. 28, 1963, in Washington, D.C.
