This event gives sophomores the chance to explore the resources available at Cornell and learn what employers and graduate schools are looking for on resumes and transcripts. The drawing for the Pathways Grand Prize will occur at this event. Questions? Contact Laura Obrycki.

Indie Films@Cole
Bring comfy seating for an evening of award-winning independent films. Choking Man begins at 6 p.m., Arranged at 7:45 p.m., and BenX at 9:30 p.m. Come to one film, or to all! Drawings for fabulous door prizes between films, plus free popcorn, soda, chai, and shortbread. This film festival is part of an ongoing library subscription that includes one performance right per film. Be advised that all films contain one or more of the following: adult themes, violence, hard language, or nudity.

Getting into a summer research program
Interested in summer research? Students planning to attend graduate school in the natural and health sciences should seek summer research opportunities. Programs are approximately 10 weeks, are nationwide, and provide stipends and often housing. Participants at the workshop will work on resumes and statements, learn about a wealth of opportunities they are eligible to apply to, and begin the application process. Questions? Allee Chapel
Deepwater
Deepwater is a Christian organization that meets on Sundays in Allee Chapel. Our purpose is to seek, serve, worship, and have relationship with Christ in all that we do, and to encourage others to do the same. We do this through worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, small group discussions, and just having fun. Anyone is welcome to attend! Questions? Contact Mikey Kimball.

Computer science lab open over block breaks

The computer science lab located in Law Hall is Cornell's extended hours lab. In the past, that lab has been closed during block breaks, but it will now remain open (but not necessarily during holiday breaks). Information technology may close the lab to perform maintenance on the computers. The lab will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 1-4 p.m., but will be open the rest of block break. Questions? Today@Mount Vernon

Uptown Thursday Nights are each Thursday this fall from 5-8 p.m. in over 20 downtown Mount Vernon shops. Each shop will offer specials and free food treats. For those 21 and older, there is live music at the Lincoln Wine Bar. On Thursday, Nov. 20, the food theme is "Pumpkin Passions."  Click here for more information.

Block break film movement

This block break four great films are coming to Kimmel Theater. The event is free and open to the public. Friday's line-up: Hop at 6:30 p.m. and Hawaii, Oslo at 8:30 p.m. Saturday's line-up: Buddy at 6:30 p.m. and The Man of the Year at 8:30 p.m. Questions? Contact Hank Brand.

Announcements are submitted via the announcement form. They are limited to approximately 150 words and run once.

Today@Cornell deadlines are 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. Friday for This Weekend@Cornell, and 3 p.m. Friday for Monday Today@Cornell. Block Break events/announcements are due by 3 p.m. the Wednesday of each block break.
