This was the second of two meetings this week to pour over the three proposed media annual budgets. In the remaining time a business meeting was held.

Media updates
KRNL: Hiring is in process and will be done by the first week. There’s an applicant for each position. There will be deep training and exercises for the new staff. So far, the entire staff are seniors, so they want to recruit more “underclass” students. There’s a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm. KRNL has $500 worth of fundraising T-shirts. Upcoming events: KRNL Week: Rock n the Box, Phat Noiz Party, Open mic contest.
Cornellian: Hiring is going well but still searching for online editor. Training is in process. They have hired 4-5 ad reps who will work on commission.
Royal Purple: The 2011 book was finished March 15. The supplement will be completed before school is out. They are working on the annual contract (needs Senate funding approval) and hiring. They also need help from people to come after commencement and take pictures.
Next year: Next year’s meeting time will continue to be first Thursday at 11:30 a.m. A student vice chair will be voted on at the first meeting in fall, per the constitution. Responsibility is basically getting agenda ready for the next meeting with the chair, and running the meeting. Send nominations to Dee Ann.
