Block 4 minutes approved.

The Cornellian Update: Elizabeth Brown is no longer the managing editor and a replacement is being searched for. They cut one issue from  this  block and will add that issue to the end of the year.

Royal Purple Update: Nicole Potter is doing most of the work; two editors (who have not been paid) are not doing their work.

KRNL Update:  T-shirts are being made and they are making buttons for promotional purposes using Senate's button makers. Kodiak Flats concert had a good turnout and PAAC’s set up was good. It was the best event in several years. Next week, they are planning a dance party with the Moonlight cafe. They are advertising for DJs for open slots. Matt Zhorne has announced he will no longer advise KRNL after this year, and the board discussed ideas.

Senate Update: They are revising Senate’s constitution to adjust to the 8-block process. Both the auditing process and spring allocation is ongoing.

Constitution Update: The document was split in two, integrating one part into the faculty handbook, outlining the functions and structure of the committee. The other part which details the procedures for Media Board such as hiring, finances, etc. for the student Compass. We have updated the hiring process to adjust with the 8-block year. Biggest change is a recommendation to have a student development/affairs professional chair the group. If the chair is head of the College Communications and Marketing Office, there can be conflicts of interest. More importantly, the position deals more with student leadership issues, for which it would be better for someone from student development to be the chair. We might consider rotation to hedge against burn-outs, however, stability is important as well as experience. Dee Ann Rexroat and Adam Reed, as co-chairs, will meet with John Harp to float this idea.

Other Changes: We try to avoid naming of the media as much as possible. We will rename the media heads as managers.

Evaluation Process Update: Adam Reed is fine tuning the evaluation forms online.

Recruitment: We will kick off early and have the deadlines be at the beginning of 5th Block Break.

Additional Information: There would be a workshop for leadership planned by Justin from Residence Life. CEC is also going to give us Resume Bump up!
