Lunch with a Lawyer
Lunch with a Lawyer is a bi-monthly event that brings attorneys to the Cornell campus for an informal luncheon. Developed by the pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, pre-law students benefit from hearing first-hand what it's like to be an attorney. Featured speakers have shared their experiences working with family law, government agencies, labor unions, Legal Aid programs, civil rights commissions, the court system, and corporations.
These informal lunches are also a great opportunity for students to ask questions about issues in the legal profession, what law school was like, and to get tips on preparing for a career in law. Lunch with a Lawyer is held the second Thursday of blocks 2, 4, 6, and 8 from Noon to 1 p.m. in Magee Dining Room of the Thomas Commons. Students are encouraged to grab their lunch in Scramble and bring it with them to eat with the featured speaker.
