
Marcus D. Pohlmann Mock Trial Invitational Tournament
Cornell College hosts annually a competitive invitational tournament each fall. The inaugural tournament was held in October 2007. The Marcus D. Pohlmann Mock Trial Invitational at Cornell College is named in honor of Cornell alumnus, Dr. Marcus D. Pohlmann.
Marcus Pohlmann completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell College in 1972, and went on to do graduate work at Columbia University. Since 1986, Dr. Pohlmann has taught in the political science department at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where he is also the coach of the highly successful mock trial program. Dr. Pohlmann is a past president of the American Mock Trial Assocation and is also one of four inductees in the AMTA Hall of Fame.
Tournament Information
Cornell College will be hosting an AMTA Regional tournament in February 2012 and consequently will not be holding the Marcus D. Pohlmann Invitational this year.
