Applications are being accepted for the position of coordinator of academic support and advising. This position provides support for academic performance and success, particularly among first-year students as they make the transition to college; works with students with documented disabilities and with faculty to arrange and develop accommodations; and coordinates all aspects of academic advising. This is a full-time, 11-month appointment.

Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant field required. Experience working with students possessing learning and physical disabilities and with academic support and advising in an undergraduate setting is required. Must have understanding of student development issues and effective learning strategies. Knowledge of higher education disability laws and regulations required. Preferred skills include counseling education and experience and familiarity with assistive technologies. Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally in a variety of situations. High level of organizational and computer skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are required.
