Assistant Registrar

Applications are being accepted for the position of Assistant Registrar. This position works with the Registrar, Dean’s office and academic departments to prepare the course schedule; coordinates the registration process; coordinates and assigns classroom space; responds to student and faculty questions, explaining regulations and procedures, interpreting the Catalogue, and providing necessary forms and petitions; prepares and submits reports as required for internal and external purposes; and maintains the registrar’s office website.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Three to five years of related experience preferred.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of student records maintenance and registration processes in higher education. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies, in person as well as via email or phone. Excellent organizational skills, with attention to details and deadlines. Software and computer skills, including word processing, data entry, database management, and demonstrated abilities with database/spreadsheet software (Excel and MS Access) and website maintenance. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Fine finger movement is required for typing, word processing and filing, as well as reaching and grasping.
