Instructional Technology Librarian

Cornell College, a residential liberal arts college of 1180 students founded in 1853, is seeking applications for a full-time, 10 month, Instructional Technology Librarian. Responsibilities include:  assisting faculty to envision and implement ways to teach with technology; providing assistance in combining pedagogical theory with knowledge of standard and emerging technological applications that can enhance teaching and learning; recommending learner-centered pedagogies to support faculty in the effective use of technology in teaching and learning; teaching students, in the classroom and in individual consultations, the skills and concepts necessary for completing their assignments; collaborating with librarians and consultants in the Center for Teaching and Learning on teaching with technology; developing supporting resources for faculty and students; and recommending hardware and software purchases. 

Masters degree in relevant field (e.g. instructional design, education, instructional technology, computer science, library/information science): successful classroom teaching; proven ability to collaborate with others; experience in technology implementation in an academic setting. Develop and maintain fluency with software used on campus, including Adobe Creative Master Suite (CS5), Movie Maker 7, Moodle, Can8, Strata 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, open source versions of creative software, and social networking applications.
